From the moment I met with Ashley over coffee last Spring, I knew that her wedding day would be AMAZING based on the way she talked about Ace and the excitement she had for their big day! My hunch was spot on, because Ashley and Ace’s Wedding at The Lumberyard in Downtown Huntsville, AL was personal, intimate, and let me tell you...I’ve never gotten so many fun dance shots in one night. ;)

Ladies, make sure to get you a man that looks at you the way Ace looks at Ashley. *OH MY HEART* If love was a physical thing that you could actually SEE between two people, you’d definitely see it between these two. Sure, there were a few of your usual wedding day jitters, but Ashley and Ace treat each other like they’ve loved one another forever already, I can hardly stand it! You can tell when a couple has what it takes to make it last and Ashley and Ace have GOT IT.

I love that Ashley and Ace’s wedding revolved so much around their family, considering they might not even know each other if it hadn’t been for their families! Ace’s mom and Ashley’s aunt have been best friends since they were kids, so when a single Ace moved to Huntsville, Ashley’s aunt swung into action, as any good “wing-Aunt” would do. ;) She was smart to do so too! The meet and greet led to a proposal almost exactly a year ago and to come full (family) circle, their audience was made up of Ashley’s parents (no pressure, dude), Ace’s mom and step-dad, and Ashley’s best friend, Tiffany. If this doesn’t make you smile, you should probably get that checked out, because that’s just about the cutest thing I’ve ever heard. :)

Jeff and I met Ashley and Ace in Big Spring Park early that afternoon so they could have a private (plus all of the curious park-goers...) First Look near the Spring, where they actually had their Engagement photos taken! There was a little bit of a cool breeze that day, but the sun was shining so beautifully for their Bride & Groom and Bridal Party portraits around the park. :) We met their families back at The Lumberyard and grabbed some gorgeous Family Formals all before the festivities began so Ashley and Ace could just enjoy the party after they became Husband and Wife!

The Banquet Hall at AM Booth’s Lumberyard created the perfect atmosphere for an intimate ceremony and personal reception all in one location! Ashley and Ace’s friends and family enjoyed a cocktail and hors d'oeuvres hour served by the Lumberyard catering staff and then we got to the good stuff...A father giving his daughter away at the altar, tears being wiped away during romantic vows, and selfies with the preacher...all of the things that make up the perfect Ceremony! If these photos don’t give you some insight into Ashley and Ace’s awesome relationship, I’m really not sure what will… :)

After Ashley and Ace shared their First Dance together and then hit the dance floor with their parents, I stole them away for a few GORGEOUS nighttime portraits and I’m SO glad I did! Nothing beats a romantic twilight Husband & Wife photo.

The rest of the evening was filled with more food, great conversations, and DANCING. The queen of the dance floor was obviously Ashley’s grandma. I mean, OBVIOUSLY. (That means you better be scrolling that far...yeah.) I can’t tell you how much FUN we had at this reception!

Ashley and Ace, THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH for having us along on your beautiful wedding day! I still smile every time I look back on your First Look images and have flashbacks of your sweet grandma killing it on the dance floor when I go through those awesome Reception photos! I hope you guys love this reminder of your perfect day as much as I do!! Thanks again for being awesome! :)
